Description:
FERMFIX RTV Silicone is onecomponent acid-curing silicone sealant for general purpose sealing in high temperature applications up to 350ºC. Cures at room temperature under the action of atmospheric moisture to give a permanently flexible silicone rubber. Non-sag. Flexible at low (-40ºC) and high temperatures (+350ºC). Ready gunnability at low (+5ºC) and high (+40ºC) temperatures. Quickly becomes tack-free. Good tooling properties. Maintains elastic properties at continuous temperatures of up to 350ºC. Adheres excellently to glass, vitrified surfaces, ceramic tiles, some plastics and most paints.
Application area & Description:
Sealing of joints exposed to long-term temperatures of 350ºC (oven and chimney construction), sealing of connecting and expansion joints exposed to high temperatures. Suitable for industrial applications.
Instructions for Use:
Make sure the surface to be applied is dry and clean, free of dust, dirt, rust and grease. Cut the cartridge tip and place it in the gun, apply the silicone over the surface in strip form. Clean any silicone residue simply with soapy water.
Safety:
Keep away from reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. Prolonged exposure to vapors may harm respiratory system. Store in a cool and dry place. Refer to cartridge for production and expiration dates.
Shelf Life:
18 months. Production date is on the product.
